Thai VAT 7% Calculator

Three calculation modes: split VAT from a total price, add VAT to a base price, or find base and total from a known VAT amount.

Calculation mode

THB
Current VAT rate: 7% (Thailand standard rate since 2017)

When to use each mode

1

Total (incl. VAT) → split

You have the final invoice total and need to separate the base price and VAT amount. Common when reconciling accounts.

2

Base (excl. VAT) → total

You know the base price and need to add VAT before quoting a customer or issuing an invoice.

3

VAT amount → find base

You see only the VAT line on a document and need to back-calculate the base price and total.

VAT rate is currently 7% under the Revenue Code and annual Royal Decrees. Certain goods/services are exempt (e.g., unprocessed agricultural products, educational and medical services). Always verify with your accountant or the Thai Revenue Department.
